After the biggest party I have ever thrown in my house, I had to take the biggest house cleaning operation ever. The party was just like in the movies – lots of drunken people, drinks and food everywhere, litter all across the lawn…After such a mess it was necessary to ask my sober friends for help to clean the house, and restore its condition. I'd cleaned bunded diesel tanks in past jobs, but this was going to be even more difficult. We started by collecting all the thrash that was scattered inside the house and across the lawn, then started to clean all the stains that were left from wine and beer, after that we had to put all curtains in the washing machine, and finally vacuum clean the carpets and the sofas. After that we had to clean all the dust from everywhere, and take out all garbage from the house. The toilet was also a mess, and luckily my female friend was in a mood to clean it to perfection. Lesson learned. House party - never again! |

People think safety just means wearing ppe clothing and safety training, but there's more to it than that. Let me give you an example.
Even the top investment banks with their corporate art work displayed in boardrooms have nasty little basements where all sorts of safety hazards exist. I remember it well the day I acquired my scar for life. It was during the mad frenzy that was the Millennium and as software Project Manager my role was to ensure compliance with Year 2000 guidelines so that computers would not inherit the earth and leave us falling from the skies in jet planes and have a nuclear reactor disco party. In the nasty little basement were strewn the carcasses of non-compliant PCs trailing their cables and wires disguising a step which I naturally tripped on and injured my leg most hideously. Apart from an accident report being filled out and a trip to A&E their was no comeback as I was a contract worker under my own insurance and frankly I could not stomach the thought of suing given the insane amount of money I was earning in those halcyon days. So whether is a greasy garage on a street corner or an elite corporation work safety is always an issue, hazards exist so workers BEWARE!! |

I would like to renovate my house this year. My friend has all kinds of DIY tools, like stihl saws, and various other tools - and best of all - he has the skills! So with his help, I will achieve these new jobs. I am going to have a lot of family members visit me in the new year and am rather embarrassed about the state of my house. It could look a lot better with a little effort. However cost is the barrier. If I came into some money I would like to do the work myself. I would like to have a proper drive way. Currently I have a non existent one and I can't even get my car through the gates. I would like to concrete the entire drive way and make it into a circular drive way to make the house look rather exclusive. My house could do with an extra story. If I could build a second story I would be able to see the city skyline. This would be particularly magnificent at night as the buildings would look ever incredibly pretty lit up. I would never sell my house as it has a lot going for it. I hope Santa brings me a lucky lotto ticket this year so I can undertake my renovations. |

If I could change one thing about my house, it would probably be my room. I would make my room be a lot bigger. Also, I would either make it so that instead of a bed I have a hammock, or I would have my bed be elevated about four or five feet off the ground. Under my bed, there would be a television, mini fridge, and microwave on one side, and a couch on the other side. I would also make it so that I have a lot of book shelves and other shelving and storage space. I'd use velcro fasteners to keep my curtains closed. I would also like to have there be a large closet with lots of space. I would also make my desk area be bigger, with more room for me to do my work at it. I would have there be really soft carpeting for the floor and realy cool art painted on the walls. |

You are probably an investor who would want to look into every aspect concerning the costs of your business. Building a structure on property for business purposes could be an item in your agenda list. You would want to know if it is feasible to rent a commercial space or it would be more practical to build and own one. To be able to determine this, you should have a quotation of how much it will cost to construct your building. For practical reasons, constructing a steel building may be your cost efficient solution. Which leaves to mind, how are prices on steel buildings determined?
When a steel building company gives out a quotation they base their pricing on the dimensions of your structure and the kind of pitch that you want to use. You also have a choice of choosing pre-fabricated parts which already have standard pricing. These costs may vary only if you have other add-ons or accessories included like roll-up doors and insulation installed. |

Moving house is one of the most difficult tasks we have to face in our lives. I was sick of changing my house frequently, the whole deal of hiring a skip lorry, and organizing the move myself.
For those who live in cities, there are so many packers and movers who can do all this for you. There are three process involved in moving: packing, moving and unpacking. If we plan well, the first two processes can be done smoothly.
First of all we must take note of our things and calculate the packaging materials needed so that we could secure them to avoid last minute confusion. Then we have to hire a lorry or a truck to move it to the place we are shifting our gear to. The toughest part of it is in the unpacking of our furniture and items. Some objects like big sofas might not fit to the size of the new house. So we have to select our house big enough to accommodate all our things. Quite often this requires a lot of guess work and estimations, so be prepared that some items simply may not fit in your new property! |
